He loved being outdoors, especially picnics on "Sunday family days". He and his wife loved to entertain, and were a big part of the area's Italian community. Nino was a known as a quiet man, but when he spoke he "meant what he said, and said what he meant". His smile would light up any room. In addition to his wife of 67 years, Nancy, he leaves behind to cherish his memories his ten children, Carmela (Terry) Scarsella of Daytona Beach, FL, Santo (Agnes) Laquidara of Saugerties, Adelina (Guy) Miller of Port St. Lucie, FL, Maria (Ernie) Vandemark of Modena, Santina (Chuck) Mayo of Calabash, NC, Tindora (Willis Williamson) Smith of Kingston, Pippo "Joe" Laquidara of Saugerties, Linda Laquidara of Orlando, FL, Gina Smith of NY, Carmello "Mello" (Julie) Laquidara of East Greenbush, NY., one sister, Antonina Laquidara of Sicily, one brother, Miguelino Laquidara of Germany, 22 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and cousins, in America, Germany and Sicily also survive. He is predeceased by one grandchild and brothers and sisters.
