William Robert Caruso

William R. Caruso, an Ocala, Florida resident passed away peacefully on the night of September 9th, 2020. He was born March 9th, 1937, in New Haven, CT, and became. longtime resident of Orange, CT. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Dolores Ann Scognamillo and his three children, Richard FJ Caruso (Amy) of Big Lake, MN, Darlene Sparks (Steven) of Dunnellon, FL, and Laura Pierce (David) of Ocala, FL. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Louis Caruso, and sisters Margaret (Peggy) Ruggierio, Violet Civitello, Marie Mason and Gloria Nuzzi all of Connecticut. He is survived by his brothers George Caruso of CT and Joseph (Johnny) Caruso of Florida. Bill had seven grandchildren, Eric C Caruso (Denelle) of Escondido, CA, Richard W Caruso and Stephen J Caruso of Vista, CA, Bradley D Pawlowicz (Staci) of Ocala, FL, David M Pierce (Brittany) of Ocala , Brandon D Pawlowicz (Kara) of Altamonte Spring, and Christopher D Pierce (Alyssa) of Ocala, FL. Bill is also survived by 6 great-children and one on the way. Instrumental in fund raising and special projects for many of these organizations. For many years Bill was well known for this hospitality and wonderful cooking. He loved to entertain.
