Kathryn (Kay) Ninos Roth

Kathryn (Kay) Ninos Roth, 84, passed away on May 26, 2020. Kay was born in Zeigler, Illinois to Gus and Mary Ann Ninos. She was the youngest of 14 children. At a young age, she and her family moved to the South Side of Chicago. Kay was fiercely independent and insightful. Working various jobs over her life, she is best remembered for her decades long ownership of the Alsip Lounge, which she ran with her late husband David Roth in Alsip, Illinois. She was a tough, resourceful woman who had a heart of gold. There was never any question of her devotion to her children and her beloved dogs. Kay is survived her two children, Michael and Deborah Roth, Michael's wife Karen Roth, her grandchildren Hannah and Jordan Roth, along with Deborah's partner Louis Minicucci.
